Attack
The intensity in the attack could be seen quite well. An attacking trio consisting of Falcao, Van Persie and Rooney is, well, quite intimidating to say the least. It’s true that they are nowhere near hitting the peak of their form, but they are doing just well. Add to that the pace of Di Maria and the attack has the potential to do some real damage. Even Falcao has now started the ticker on his goals and his excellent positioning will only help shape up the offense into something that other teams used to fear in the days of old.
Composure
Composure is what United lacked
the most in the Moyes era. The welcome additions of Blind and Paddy McNair have
improved the quality of the team. While Blind seems to have adjusted seamlessly
into the Van Gaal system, the new boy McNair has shown tremendous ability to
perform on the greatest stage and he is better composed than Evans.
The LVG factor
We tend to forget the role of the
manager in the wins, but we definitely spill the rage during the losses. Van
Gaal is different than Moyes in the terms that he can be clear with the
players regarding his philosophy, and though he knows that the defense needs
work and a long injury list is there, he is not afraid to experiment to do what
needs to be done.
